This Island District Conceptual Master Plan for the City of Cam Pha in northern Vietnam was a development plan to accommodate an urban expansion plan based on the local government policy and vision for the next twenty years. With a densely populated coastal region with limited room for growth, this planning effort was a joint partnership attempt to generate new land area to allow the city to transition from a traditional mining town into an international tourism destination with a vibrant and diversified economy of the future. This conceptual master plan was approved by both local and provincial authorities at the end of 2021.
